This is ideal for anyone that visually communicates with others. Granted, countless Windows and Mac programs can take screenshots, such as Windows Snipping Tool. I think the only deprecated features have been hotspots and link capture. Since I wrote my first software review, TechSmith has continually added features and platforms, including the Mac. Combined, they allow you to capture, enhance, and share images and videos in many ways. The first program is the screen capture program, and the second is the image editor and library. This is useful if you’re collaborating and offering suggestions. Moreover, you can keep a threaded conversation going. However, they added the ability to enhance the videos with screen draw. This latest version builds upon previous changes and makes workflow easier, especially if you collaborate with teams.įor example, SnagIt allows you to make short videos. Some years are more dramatic than others.
One item I appreciate about SnagIt is that you can count on them upgrading the software on a regular basis.
